Lyndsey Osler, LMFT
I am originally from Winston-Salem, North Carolina but moved around a lot as a child and adolescent. Job opportunities took my family to France and Minnesota and then back to North Carolina. I went to Appalachian State University and earned my undergraduate degree in Sociology. I’ve always loved learning about people and cultures, but wanted to do that on more of an individual level so, in 2008 I decided to pursue my Masters in the counseling field. After Graduate School I worked for a local Charlotte non-profit helping women and children who have experienced sexual and physical abuse. I’ve also worked in addictions field at a local treatment facility with people struggling with opiate addiction. I took a break in 2013 to stay at home with my two young children for their first few years. I then worked at a National Employee Assistance Program (EAP) helping employees find local treatment for addiction and mental health issues.
I missed working directly with couples and individuals and seized the opportunity to work with George and Faith at their practice in April 2017. Using skills gained from working for an EAP, I can quickly assess a situation and put together a plan of action to alleviate pain and promote healing. My goal is to help couples bring out their best selves in their relationship and to strengthen their connection. Couples can count on both of their voices being heard in the therapy room as we work together to promote growth and to increase connection.
When I’m not seeing clients, I love spending time with my husband, Steve, and two young children, Rosemary and Drew. Our family of four can often be seen at one of the kid friendly parks in and around the city – my kids love running and playing non-stop. My husband and I enjoy experiencing Charlotte’s food scene and we equally enjoy cooking flavorful meals together at home.
