Brandon Blackmon, MA, LMFT
I was born and raised in the town of Clinton, North Carolina. From there I moved to Chapel Hill, NC where I graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a Bachelor’s in Psychology. I subsequently moved to Charlotte as I began my graduate studies at Pfeiffer University. It would be here, as I pursued my Master’s in Marriage and Family Therapy, that I would fall in love with couples work.
My interest in therapy is rooted in my belief of the importance of our individual stories and experiences. These stories and experiences are what make us who we are and shape our world views. I believe that within a couple dynamic our stories and experiences need to be shared. This is the only way a unified understanding can be forged between partners and help us see each a bit clearer.
In my journey as a therapist, I have come to enjoy working with individuals from all walks of life. I have experience working with couples, individuals, and families; their presenting issues unique to their dynamic. I always meet my clients where they currently are in life and assist them with moving forward upon path that leads to their desired destination.
In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my loved ones. When I’m not with them, I choose to spend my time watching my favorite television programs, writing, and reading science fiction/fantasy novels.
